If you speak to me by phone, I can briefly discuss with you your reasons for wanting couples counselling, give you a sense of the number of sessions that might be needed, and discuss times for an appointment that would best suit you. Leave me a message if necessary and I’ll get back to you if you’re in NZ, usually the same day.
If contacting me by phone seems difficult or uncomfortable, then by all means email me. I clear my emails most weekdays. My preference is to counsel face to face rather than by email, so email is really a means to just touch base. The relationship I form with you is important to a successful outcome, and this is more easily developed face to face or via skype, zoom or Whereby.
If I am booked up, I am able to discuss with you the possibility of seeing other practitioners whom I know and whose skills and competence I can recommend.

Please note that cancellation must be made more than 48 hours before a session so that the time can be made available to others. Late cancellations and forgotten appointments will incur a full fee, so please let me know if rescheduling would be a good move.
The location of my therapy rooms at 59 Aynsley Tce, Christchurch offers privacy, a beautiful view, and peace and quiet just twelve minutes by car from central Christchurch. I do my research and writing from this room also, so come and enjoy the library of self-help books I’m surrounded by.
